At the onset of the pandemic some friends, some strangers and some siblings gathered at ArtMill in Šumava to make it through the Covid-19 quarantine together. Through the trials of living in a community each of us learned different lessons, but as spring came around we all found ourselves in the garden, surrounded by nature and each other, learning about permaculture and self-sufficiency. 

 

The book “You Are Here” is a 100 page cumulation of lessons from this time, a continuation of a begun collaboration, to be explored further in the changing season to come, be it in the city or in further isolation of the countryside.
It can be used as a guide for communities about to be formed, or already existing ones, searching for direction.
It can be your gardening guide, it is versatile, a Spring/Summer edition waiting for its Fall/Winter counterpart.
It is a collaboration, an arrow towards a solution, with pages of texts and designs created together with our quarantine community at the ArtMill Center for Regenerative Arts.
 

The potato bucket is a realisation of a page from the Urban gardening guide, and together with You Being Here, and the Seed Starter Pack, it serves as a beginning to self-sufficiency and sustainability. The bucket was found by a trashcan in Prague, the potatoes began growing in a kitchen drawer.

The Vermicomposter is a closed-loop composting system for urban households.
 

The two books are printed with Risograph technology using soy based inks, feel free to compost your copy when you’ve established your functioning community and grown all your permaculture produce.
